American Academy of Audiology Convention, Washington, DC

My Role: As the Senior Marketing Manager / Creative Director for Siemens, I directly managed a staff of 13 including a copywriter, web designers, graphic designers, production, freelancers, interns, and tech support. For at least three months out of the year, my staff worked intensely on all items related to the booth along with our usual workload. This included theme, branding, communications, production, and logistics of the entire booth's technology, graphics, audio/visual pieces, print collateral, direct mail pieces, promotional items, and the overall construction & design of the booth itself.

I would liaise with the larger marketing department, sales, product management, R&D, purchasing, and others to coordinate, plan, guide, and develop the overall strategy while ensuring that projects were kept to their timelines and budgets.

My job also required me to manage & negotiate timelines, costs, and technologies with external vendors. These included printers, talent, ad agencies, and exhibit houses.

For this show, we were not only launching our new ACURIS hearing aid, but we wanted to introduce our new iScan 3-D digital scanner. In order to do this, we set aside a portion of the booth where a presenter would give a live presentation and take questions. This presentation included an audio/visual piece explaining the innovative benefits of the iScan. We developed the a/v piece internally working very closely with R&D and product management to ensure that the scripting and narrative were accurate.
